.Week 2 Ken Robbinson Ted Talk.

.

Do Schools Kill Creativity?

I cant really understand Sir Ken's accent actually. Its pretty hard for me. But I still try to do this.

I agree to what he said about how important the creativity in education. It is important. I mean, how teachers put literacy as important subject, they should treat creativity as the same way.

He did give some story about a girl that try to draw a picture of god, and her teacher didn't believe her. That shows how school didn't think about developing children's creativity. They just thinking about sticking to the norm.

Yes, children have a great idea.. They got the talent. But adult keep wasting it. They keep putting children in a box.

If we didn't prepare to be wrong, we will never come out with anything original. That's what he said.
Being a children, they didn't facing a serious matter. If they did wrong, it wont affect their carrier, their money, CGPA and so on. It is because children didn't have a carrier or money yet. As we grow up, we are too afraid to be wrong. Because we are now dealing with all of that stuff. As example..

We did a proposal of a tender that valued a million. I we didn't do it well, we lost the job. And some people are to afraid of being creative because they are dealing with corporate people. As I mention, corporate people are always 'black & white'.

When we grow up, everything is a cost.
Everything is serious.

We did a mistake, we are doom.
